It was going to happen eventually... a live perfor It was going to happen eventually... a live performance as guitarist for @chiron.music ! Playing and recording with Michael and Dino has been an amazingly enjoyable challenge, both physically and technically. The beginnings of carpal tunnel syndrome and my generally poor ability to "manage anxiety" are obstacles... but ones that I'm learning to refuse to let impact the things that really matter. Objectives like seeking joy in art's darker aspects as well as the bright things, like nature, my lovely supportive other half, and refusing to let the noise of a messed up world drown out the light. At this stage in life maybe it is about getting stuff done, and the meanings attached. It is an honor that these guys put up with me... and the penchant for playing a little differently every time. They are truly the best of friends. It sounds corny, but it has been a real turning point. This was our first live appearance in Chiron's new trio format, 13th June 2026 at @mammachens in Footscray VIC AU, for the 20th Enzyme event with @bloodinthechampagneband and @thedevilsmonkey . The wildly glorious photos are by the lovely @kyzaphotography who was so kind to help at Shadow Resonance's first concert night too. The swirls in these photos are a physical filter lens attached to his magical "gizmo"! Chiron is playing again in Fitzroy VIC AU on the 22nd June 2026, 8.30pm at @theoldbarmorbidmondays with @palliativemusic and @robotsinlove (all the way from NZ!). Really looking forwards to that! After years of largely making music alone, it has really been something to share, re-flavor and arrange pieces with such talented and open-minded friends. Every time we play there is something a little different and unexpected. Thrilled to be able to perform with these guys next month in our first concert since the Minorarc solo/duo era of 2010-2015. Hi Friends! It is true, for the last few years I'v Hi Friends! It is true, for the last few years I've had the pleasure of recording guitars for Chiron on the side. Their new album comes out this year (hopefully soon), so at the moment lots of rehearsals are underway for live stuff. Really love working with Michael Aliani and Dino!
